A Truly Positive Change!

Lisa's Success Story

In February of 2012, I miscarried twins. It was my 2nd miscarriage in 3 months. I decided that it was time to get my body right and get healthy.

I grew up as a competitive dancer and was skinny my whole life. When I got into college and stopped dancing, my fitness level went to zero. I continued eating the way that I did when I was active everyday and the weight slowly but surely crept on.

After having my daughter, I weighed over 200 pounds and wore a pant size 12-14. I lived like that for a few years because it had become normal. I was eager to get back to my old weight of 130 but was never motivated enough to actually follow through with anything. I tried different videos at home that were given to me by friends but I wanted immediate satisfaction and weighing myself everyday didn’t give me the results that I wanted.

I talked Dominique on February 27, 2012. I told her that I was ready to change my life. I told her that I wanted to lose 2 pants sizes and 30 pounds. She got going on a plan right away. She took into consideration my lifestyle and what goals were going to be attainable and which ones would not. She set me up to succeed, not to fail. She gave me a workout plan, a diet plan, and goals for everyday. I started wearing a pedometer and my journey began.

I was in daily communication with Dominique because she was in Florida at the time and I lived in California. She was genuinely concerned about my every question and need in regards to my lifestyle change. I weighed myself every Sunday and I stayed right on my goal throughout the first 3 months. I lost the 30 pounds that I set out to lose and I had more energy than I had had in years. To my unbelievable surprise, I have lost over 50 pounds and now am a size 6. I did this in just 6 months and mostly because of her guidance and support. She kept me going and I knew that having her keep me accountable to myself made me push myself everyday to reach my goals. There were nights that I hadn’t made it to my step goal and I ran around the house in order to reach those goals.

I never could have done this without her guidance and support and I know that my life will never be the same because of her. I am more grateful than I can ever express. What she gave to me was a new beginning. My daughter, who is now 5, knows the importance of being healthy and making good decisions because she lived through this with me. She watches me work out and often joins in. Dominique has not only changed my life but my family’s lives as well.

I know that there are many more people that will benefit in life because of her dedication to fitness and health. She is a true advocate and I am proud of all she has done for the fitness world.
