Terri Lynn Cole, MS, author of Fit, Fat or Just Plain Full of It? is an award-winning Clinical Exercise Physiologist who holds a Master’s of Science Degree in Kinesiology. As a renowned expert in her field, Terri has been featured on such shows as the Tracy Gold, Lifetime documentary, Starving Secrets, and, KABC Channel 7 News.
Aside from her Master’s Degree, Terri holds dual certifications from the American Council on Exercise (ACE) as an Advanced Health and Fitness Specialist, and, a Lifestyle and Weight-Management Coach. She is a distinguished member of the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals (IAEDP), and a National PTA Healthy Lifestyles Grant award winner. Terri has been published by MORE Magazine at MORE.com; IAEDP, Turn for the Judges; and The Orange County Register, among others. Her handouts and professional materials have been copied and used by hospitals and treatment centers across the nation. Terri’s unique style, enthusiasm, and commitment to the truth make her a highly sought-after keynote speaker.
Aside from her more than 15 years of clinical experience as an Exercise Physiologist, Terri personally knows and understands the struggles of overcoming eating and exercise disorders, having herself battled adolescent anorexia, athletica bulimia and body dysmorphia. As an intuitive eater, Terri has enjoyed a healthy relationship with food and exercise for more than twenty years.
In her spare time, Terri enjoys competing in beauty pageants, with her platform aimed at changing the stereotypical ideals of beauty, weight and size. Although a firm advocate for living a healthy lifestyle, Terri does not believe that self-worth or attractiveness should be defined by a person’s waist size.
