Tate is a phenomenal trainer, and anyone who finds them self able to work with him is lucky! I stepped into the gym for the first time in my life in January. Joining a gym was one of the most frightening experiences for me, and I dreaded going in knowing I had absolutely no idea what I was doing and hoping I wouldn’t embarrass myself. Tate immediately made me feel comfortable and at ease. I had no idea how to do anything but run on a treadmill, but over the course of working with Tate I learned and mastered countless exercises. I couldn’t believe the progress I was making! One of my goals working with Tate was to learn ways to change my lifestyle to make it overall healthier. Knowing I was moving at the end of the summer, I wanted to be able to leave and continue on my own. Now, a couple months after moving, I still refer to the tips Tate gave me for both healthy eating and workouts, and I feel confident doing it on my own (although if Tate ever wanted to move to the suburbs I would be thrilled with the opportunity to work with him again)!

Tate is funny, caring, and so much fun to work with! Even on my worst days (and after a full day of teaching 10-11 year olds, there were lots of days I would rather be lying on the sofa than working out), Tate was able to make me feel motivated and enjoy my time at the gym. When Tate first taught me how to deadlift, I found it incredibly frustrating and thought I would never be able to do it right. However, in a matter of a couple sessions, with Tate's help, I felt like I had truly mastered it, and it even became one of my preferred exercises! Tate will make you feel like you can achieve anything and proud of your accomplishments. Thank you Tate!

Tate is an exceptional trainer. He is extremely knowledgeable about nutrition, training and the human body. The sessions revolve heavily around the client - if something isn't working for you he'll change it. Most importantly, at least to me, is he knows which buttons to press and which not to press to get and keep me motivated.

I’ve had some pretty bad patellar tendonitis for the past few years from soccer. Because of the tendonitis, I had stopped a lot of workouts and activities involving my knee. As a result I lost a lot of strength and power, especially on my left side where the tendonitis is. I tried physical therapy, but it didn’t quite give me much strength or confidence on my knee.

I think Tate and I worked together on it for about 2-3 months. I basically went from barely being able to perform a single leg squat on my left knee to loading it up with 50lbs. Single leg squats were basically a movement I had previously written off as ‘never again’, but now they're a staple in my routines.

We focused on a lot of mobility and active stretching, a lot of eccentric loads, and then progressed to really heavy lifts towards the end working all planes of movement. Notably, I’m deadlifting just under 300 lbs and I’m really not that big of a guy at 5’7 and 160 lbs. We were also working a lot on agility and getting the power back in my legs (not just the strength) towards the end.

Things got a little hectic for me at work so we stopped the training sessions, but once things settle down I’m planning on starting things up again with Tate. In the meantime, it has been really straight forward working out on my own and maintaining a lot of what we built. Tate breaks the workouts down into pretty simple patterns/structures and educates you on his methods. You're going to learn a lot and you'll be able to replicate it on your own once you're feeling 100%. It's basically all stuff you'll take with you the rest of your life to ensure you're staying active and keeping your knee strong.

I’d say if you’re at all on the fence, go for it! You're investing in keeping yourself fit and knowledgable. I gained a ridiculous amount of confidence and strength on my knee.

Tate deserves 10 stars!!! Tate was my personal trainer for 6 months and in that time I learned SO MUCH about nutrition, exercise, and developing a positive mindset. Hiring him was seriously one of the best decisions I made for my health. The skills I learned will stay with me for life. I would have continued training sessions for much longer if I wasn't moving abroad (can I convince you to move to London, Tate?!?) I feel strong and hopeful for the future because of Tate's help!

Tate has made such a lasting impact on my health I am forever grateful. I approached Tate unsure of goals but knowing that actionable changes needed to be made to my general fitness. After 5 months working together I feel like Tate has made every minute efficient and effective.

The workouts are always challenging and a great mix, were constantly changing things up. I leave every session feeling challenged beyond what I could do on my own or in a group fitness class. Tate has been able to pin point areas of my body that need particular strengthening which is awesome beyond the strength and total body workouts we do regularly.

Another impactful area I have made great progress in with Tate's well-informed guidance is diet. As much as I have enjoyed the workouts that make me feel strong and empowered, I truly feel like the life style of thinking critically about food, reading labels, and eating mindfully has made an even greater impact. This is an area in particular where he absolutely shows a lot of integrity because it’s something he practices as well.

Tate’s knowledge is vast and he is always continuing to educate himself on best practices and the latest articles and studies. Tate has a great personality. He is kind, keeps you on task during workouts but we always manage to have a laugh he is a great person to pass the time with during a workout.

    Thanks Tate!
