Well, it all started a long time ago when I realized it was more exhilarating to run than walk, to have more energy than less, and to be more productive than not. Learning and practicing life balance, optimal health, and weight management are the keys to living life to the fullest. Fast forward a few degrees, certifications and 20 years experience later, and here I am still running around like a chicken with his head cut off (but in a good way). Brought up under the discipline and facts only mentality of a judge (dad) and the enthusiasm and curiosity of a life long learner (mom), I am providing reliable information, convenient services, and helpful products of the highest quality in my quest to make the world a healthier and more exciting place for us all. I am a lucky husband and father of four. I love what I do and will work with anyone who is ready for change. Let's get together to identify some truth and prioritize. I am excited to meet you!

I have been training consistently with Tanner for over 6 months. I dreaded beginning due to previous unsuccessful and unsatisfying experiences and results. And then Tanner appeared. I went from literally moping and dragging my backside to the gym to placing my training times high on my priority list. I am surrounded by suburbia women who get their butts kicked by their trainers and exhibit a proud veneer of weight loss numbers and muscle toned arms. Good for them! There are plenty of trainers for these goals. I have achieved these and way more. I now hold a deep and abiding commitment (and it's not fear based but a positive "I want this for my life" based) set of values surrounding nutrition, genuine rest, "handling" stress, and treasuring my body/life. Tanner's tenacity for learning and seasoned wisdom on functional health and fitness combined with his upbeat and disarming demeanor cause "training" to be life giving, FUN, inspiring, and transformative. I have gone from dread to gratitude and feel honored to learn and grow and change as a result of training beside Tanner.

Thanks Candy!! You've demonstrated through your consistency and openness to try new ideas that you are coachable which is the first and biggest obstacle for people looking for that new health trajectory. Congrats on your success. Let's keep going!

My daughter is rehabilitating from a hypoxic brain injury as a result of viral encephalitis (West Nile Virus). After years of regular physical and occupational therapy, we brought in Tanner to change my daughters rehabilitation focus. Our goal is now muscle strengthening.

Tanner's personalized approach has drastically increased her overall strength. He provides a varied workout that is never boring or tedious. He is very professional, up-beat and on time!

I would recommend Tanner to anyone looking for a personal trainer. He has vast knowledge, skill and experience. He is also a genuinely nice person!

Hi Jan, working with your daughter was just awesome! I was so glad to hear of her college success and her becoming the confident and STRONG woman that you and Michael raised her to be! Thanks for allowing me to take part. "Train'em up...and they will not depart from it." -Prov 22:6

Tanner is a highly motivating trainer. Each Monday, Wednesday, and Friday morning at 6am he leads a small, yet dedicated group of women in a variety of BOOT CAMP activities. Tanner instructs us in cardio, resistance weights, stretching, flexibility, basketball, floor hockey, and sprinting.....a range of challenging and fun activities! He accommodates for those who have injuries and encourages us to attain greater fitness! I highly reccommend this professional, skilled, and knowledgeable trainer!

I have been working with Tanner for less than a year. I am a pudgy 54 year old professional woman with no major health problems. I have lost 10 lbs and am setting a goal of another 10. Tanner changes the routine every session so you never get bored. He is firm but not a jerk. I have worked with trainers in NYC and Geneva, IL and not only is Tanner the most knowledgeable he's also the most interesting to talk to.
I would recommend Tanner to anyone looking for a responsible, caring trainer to get them motivated and focused.
