She is a former K-12 school teacher with 10 years of teaching experience as well as a former international elite athlete. She was a triple silver medallist in Italy at the 2013 World Master Games in weightlifting and cycling as well she broke the World Master Games records in weightlifting while competing there. She is the current Canadian Masters record holder in weightlifting for two weight classes, 63kg and 69kg class. She has been a personal fitness trainer and strength and conditioning specialist for more than 18 years. What makes her unique and sets her apart from other fitness trainers is she is an Internationally Certified Level 2 Kundalini Yoga and Meditation Teacher (Yoga Alliance 500 hour) with advanced training in Yoga Nidra (guided meditation).
Susan developed a unique program called TIME OUT...TIME OUT for fitness, yoga and meditation. Her TIME OUT program has been extremely well received as she works with and develops wellness programs for schools, businesses/corporations, families, as well as recreational, elite and professional athletes to help them become fitter, improve their mental focus/concentration and to overcome stress, anxiety, depression, and insomnia.
Susan’s fun in a bag kit, (20 exercises that can be done in a small space the size of a yoga mat requiring no equipment) was originally developed for teachers and students to meet the DPA and is currently being used by teachers and students across the province. It has now spread into the United States as far as New York State. In addition, Susan does the fitness for over 4500 students for the Little Run in Edmonton.
She teaches fitness, yoga and meditation workshop to thousands of people locally, provincially and internationally including the well known Omega Institute. As well, she takes groups to India for yoga and meditation. She has also been written up in numerous newspapers and magazines and has made television appearances related to this area.
You will be hard pressed to find a personal trainer of susan's calibre who is also a medal-winning athlete, a celebrated teacher and above all, a caring and understanding person with a commitment to helping others.
