I looked into getting a personal trainer specifically because I have a phobia of going to the gym but I wanted to up my exercise regimen. I was nervous on day 1 of my sessions because I did not know much about who my trainer was. Sal made a great first impression. He was really friendly and eased my nerves right away. We went over some of my personal and professional goals when it comes to physical training. He came up with a plan specifically geared to my goals. He helped me greatly in preparing myself for my physical fitness test I had last month which I passed! Each session he has a plan on what he would like for my to accomplish and all I have to do is show up and be determined to finish. I feel more confident about my physical fitness since I started training with him. We have even discussed things outside of the sessions that effect my physical fitness such as nutrition and sleep. He helped improve my run time by one whole minute in just two months.

Within just a few weeks of working with Sal, I had increased mobility in my shoulder (which I injured years ago in an accident), better balance, less pain, and more energy. He is extremely knowledgeable, and makes sure I always have a challenging work out that also helps correct my old injuries. No matter what your level of fitness is, or what goals you would like to achieve, Sal can help you do it with a smile!

I was first introduced to Vim by Andrea, one of their great instructors. She then introduced me to Sal, the coolest Muay Thai trainer in Norfolk. Sal is a very patient trainer who is able to make you want to push yourself past your limits every session. He tailor fits every lesson to your individual needs and ensures you get the feedback you need to improve. The best part about his sessions are that you will leave VIM after completing a great workout/training session as well as learning a plethora of new things as he is very intelligent and loves to share want he knows with his clients while working. I started with him knowing absolutely nothing but have made great strides in a very short period of time.

If you want to learn a really cool combative at your own pace then this is the place to go. You will not regret it.

I truly appreciate the time and attention that is dedicated to me when I train with Sal. Many of my ailments and bad postural habits have been completely fixed by him. He not only focuses on strength gains and weight loss, but on improvements in my activities of daily living and stature. Sal has several certifications that set him apart from other trainers such as Corrective Exercise Specialist and a Rock Tape certification. He has studied anatomy and physiology at ODU, so he applies everything he's learned to my training session. I love that he can tell me exactly what is happening during my exercise down to the cellular level And one of the very most important things about Sal: he is a genuine and kind person. I do not like training with prideful and/or quiet trainers. He is the exact opposite.

If you're looking for someone who stands above the crowd and takes a genius new approach too training, book with Sal! Well worth the money!

Sal is a movement guru! There are so many things about Sal's perspective on training that resonate for me, including his knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics. He does everything possible to ensure injury avoidance while listening to what it is that I want to achieve. The emphasis in our training is on sustainability and function for the long haul.

So often, people are looking for quick results when they hire a trainer. I know because I've done that before. But what Sal has taught me is that persistence and progression is really the way to go. Sal has introduced me to rock tape, which has also helped with a previous injury. Since I've began with Sal, my squats and overall stability have improved. I would recommend Sal to anyone looking for a highly educated, informed trainer. Workouts are fun, varied, and challenging and I can't imagine not working with him.

Prepare to sweat and be educated.
