Having always been active in soccer, martial arts, and trail running, which I combined with strength training, I am enthusiastic about all aspects of physical performance improvement. As a biomedical research scientist (30+ years experience)and former medical school professor (21 years experience), I now research the literature to find the best current evidence to teach my clients the best way to improve their overall fitness and wellness. In training clients ranging from youth to mature adult, and from recreational athlete to persons who want to maintain a safe and healthy independent lifestyle, I focus on strength and agility training, and on improving mobility and balance. My main tools to achieve these goals are kettlebell and suspension training. For athletically advanced clients who wish to improve their strength and conditioning for better performance, I include high intensity interval training in the protocol. I am also a certified INSANITY and group exercise instructor, carry liability insurance, and am always current on my CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications by the AHA.
