I have battled with my weight since I was a child. I was plump but not overly obese. I had my son when I was still in high school and had a very difficult pregnancy resulting in a ton of weight gain. I loved raising my son. He was my everything and I was able to stay at home and run an in home day care until he started school. I had some medical problems after he was born and was in allot of pain for years. Finally I was diagnosed with endometeriosis and treat for it. I was 21 going through 6 months of medical induced menopause. I had decided if I had to do menopause I was going to loose all my weight by the time I was done.. I had once a month injections but wasn't due to see my doctor until the end of the 6 months. So I started my first weight loss journey. My first diet was 6 months of very low calorie eating. Maybe consuming 200-250 calories a day and I did cardio for one hour every day. I know it was horrible but it got the weight off. When 6 months came I had lost so much weight the doctor thought he had the wrong room when he opened the door. I had dropped from a size 18 to a size 5 in 6 months. I joined my first gym in 1997. My son was 5 and going to school and I had more time to spend on me. I signed up with a trainer and absolutely soaked up all the information I could from her. I was not dieting yet. My first gym was awesome. It was in Clackamas, Oregon. 24 hour fitness had purchased the old golds. The atmosphere had me hooked with the gym. I was able to pick brains of some amazing body builders and athletes. 1998 I was able to purchase a large package with personal trainer Mark Nichols. Mark sat me down and made me diet for the first time. My body shifted rapidly and I was soaking up all sorts of knowledge and information from Mark. I had done well lost so much weight and was toning it all up. I loved the gym. I had lost my job one day and was quite upset so I went to the gym to lift. The manager hired me for a personal trainer when I walked into gym that day. I was going to work at my favorite gym! I loved personal training. I loved my clients and I loved getting them results. I transfer to Columbia tech 24 hours fitness in Vancouver, Washington and then finally ended up at Hazel Dell Powerhouse as an independent personal trainer and helped many competitors get on stage with color and prep. In 2003 I moved to Longview, Washington to marry my ex husband. My marriage was very stressful mainly due to allot of nosey ugly women who wouldn't let us be. I was not myself in my marriage and lost my health and my fitness and ballooned up to 270 pounds or more. I was having high blood pressure, and tons of health issues. I was obese and un-healthly. My mother passed away tragically and suddenly on 10/18/10. Her rheumatoid Arthritis had been attacking her organs and she passed in the night. My mom was my best friend. I spent hours and hours talking on the phone with her every day. My mom's death was a real eye opener. I needed to get healthy now! My daughter deserved to have me healthy. I couldn't eat for 2 weeks after my mom passed. I tried but it just didn't happen. Sleep was not an activity my body wanted to do either. The trauma of loosing my mom took some time to get over. I started dieting once I was able to eat again. In December 2010 I walked the jingle bell arthritis walk in honor of my mom. During that walk I vowed to myself the next year I would walk the walk as a healthier person to honor my mom. I joined the gym Physical Impact in Longview, Washington the next day. I started out in cardio only, just 20 minutes a few times a week. I wasn't going to get obsessed again. I decided one day to do a little leg workout. Sat myself down in the leg press and I was back! the desire the love for exercise and fitness fired back up in me. I did weights cardio and diet and my weight went up and down for sometime. I was out to get me back. I started attending competitions and realized that I wanted to compete this time not just help. I signed up with Noel Fuller in Portland Oregon in May of 2011 and dieting his way began. I don't think Noel thought I was very serious at first. But I walked into the gym a month later after starting his diet and I had proved myself worthy. The last few years I have been fine tuning my physique and had corrective surgery from the weight loss a well. My journey has been amazing.
