Hello. My name is Paul and I'm the owner and head trainer of the Utah Fitness Institute. I hold a PhD in Exercise Physiology and have worked in this industry for nearly 30 years. UFI provides high quality in-studio, in-home and corporate training. We also offer programming for those who want to train on their own. We have an excellent track record and work with the general population as well as professional athletes.     Paul is an excellent trainer. His depth of knowledge and passion for health and fitness is clear when working with him. He continually makes sure workouts are suited to my needs and goals and modifies as necessary. My main goal has been to improve strength and I have made significant progress. I would highly recommend Paul and his team to anyone looking for a trainer dedicated to helping them achieve their goals whether that is to improve fitness, lose weight or gain strength.

    Paul is a fantastic trainer. Being a professional basketball player I have been around a lot of trainers. He ranks on the top of all of them. I first went to him with specific goals and he helped me achieve them all. I highly recommend Paul to anyone from beginner to professionals.

    I have been working with Paul now for 3-days a week for over a year. He has been super attentive to my goals and watches very carefully to make sure we are staying on track. The experience has been outstanding for me. He is great listener and has a unique ability to craft the best workouts to keep me progressing toward the fitness goals we set together. We have been able to focus on my total wellness as the workouts have developed. Outside of the gym, I am an active mountain biker and golfer – it is really helpful to work with someone that knows specific exercises and routines to improve my strength and fitness in those very different sports. If you are serious about improving your physical fitness and sense of well-being - Paul is a great choice as a trainer and coach.

    I have been training with Paul for a couple of years now. I give him my highest recommendation. People in the Salt Lake area looking for someone to help them increase strength, should look no further than Paul. I am 56 going on 57 and at my age, we need to keep muscle as we are losing it every year. Paul has helped me not only stay strong but has helped me make strength gains in deadlift and bench press among other things. I now perform better in deads and bench than I did when I was in my early 30's. Paul is a very adaptable trainer and does not prescribe a one size fits all approach. He listens to his clients and comes up with workouts to suit their needs, whether those needs be age related or specific sport related. Paul has also worked with me through pretty serious injury and the workouts greatly assisted my recovery.

    I've been training with Paul for 4 months now on the recommendation from my endocrinologist (my doctor recommended this training facility specifically because they have more experience dealing with bone density, which is where my concerns lie). There has been a noticeable difference in my muscle definition and strength. Paul is very knowledgeable on health and nutrition, and training specific to your needs. All the other trainers here I have met have all been professional, knowledgeable and caring. Of course, that isn't to say they go easy on you -- there have been many times I've worked out so hard I can barely move the next day. But hey, that's when you know it's working!
