I have always had a strong passion for fitness. My passion for fitness and sports began at a very young age. I was the kid that was playing a sport year round. I was born in Frankfurt, Germany and moved to Annandale, Virginia when I was 6. Upon graduation from Falls Church High School I joined the US Navy where physical fitness is essential. I hit a very low point in my life just after the birth of my second child I allowed myself to leave physical fitness out of my life while I was pregnant and ended up gaining over 70 lbs. I did lose 40lbs with only diet but I couldn’t shake that extra 30lbs until one day I challenged myself to run on the treadmill until I burned 1,000 calories which was not an easy thing for me to do but I did it and I am still running today. I ran the Marine Corps half marathon in May of 2010, the Virginia Beach Rock-n-Roll half marathon in September 2010, and the Virginia Beach Rock-n-Roll half marathon in September 2011. My fitness goals have changed over the years in June 2011 I completed the Spartan Sprint which is a 5k loaded with 15 obstacles (climbing 8 foot walls, dodging paint balls, climbing up 50 foot rope walls, and belly crawling through a foot of mud underneath barbwire). I lead by example; everything I teach, I practice. I am very comfortable and knowledgeable with all fitness levels. I continue to further my knowledge of the health and fitness industry by taking ongoing education courses. This is not just a job for me; it is my passion and something I believe in. I am committed to helping my clients reach their fitness goals.
