Approximately 6 years ago, I became seriously interested in my health, fitness and wellness. Although it had taken me some time, I finally realized I was at risk for developing Type 2 diabetes as well as other major health risks. I was overweight at 260 pounds; my triglycerides, total cholesterol and LDL were all extremely high; and I couldn’t walk up a flight of stairs without getting out of breath. I decided to take control of my health and change my lifestyle. I dived into learning everything I could about exercise and nutrition, to the point of obsession. I even obtained certification as a master fitness trainer. I started eating healthy and working out. Over time, I developed a routine that enabled me to lose 60 pounds and achieve both a healthy blood profile and a body fat percentage of 10% through proper nutrition and exercise. I eventually started working with other people who saw the results I had obtained and wanted guidance and help themselves.
