I met Melody Schmoyer at my local YMCA and was immediately impressed with her whole body approach to exercise and nutrition. I have always been an active person and an avid swimmer but was experiencing limitations due to back troubles since my early twenties. Reading about the benefits of weight strengthening exercises, I signed up for her six week Women and Weights class. Her depth of knowledge in rehabilitative therapy and her genuine interest in helping me develop an exercise program that would not only increase my mobility but strengthen the muscles of my back, relieving some of the pain, was incredible. Melody took a personal interest in each person in the class and followed up with us even after the course was completed. She kept a constant vigil during class making sure that we were performing each exercise properly and giving us not only alternatives but an idea of how to progress, with the routine, once we reached our goals. I expanded my workout with Melody as she developed a challenging aquatic program for the Y, introducing me to plyometrics in the pool. I continue to follow both programs. Working with Melody has been a life changing experience for me. I feel better today than I have in years with less back pain. Finding the right personal trainer and the correct exercise program is essential for success and I have Melody to thank for that!

As the Health and Wellness Director of YMCA, I cannot not express how much Melody was an asset to our team. Whether she was training an active older adult to move better or challenging a class of 20-30 year olds, Melody excelled at all her work through her high level of knowledge, confidence, and dedication. Any facility should be honored to have Melody on their team and I wish her the best of luck in her work.

Melody did a fantastic job with me. She promptly contacted me when I inquired about her services and set up a time convenient for both of us to meet. We met in the privacy of my home, which was a huge deal to me.

I had some physical limitations and Melody was always very cautious when it came to exercising me with those limitations.

I would recommend Melody to anyone who wants personal one on one training.

Melody is a wonderful trainer. She took into consideration our age and health issues to design a workable gymn routine for my husband and I. I would highly recommend her!!
