I have worked with, or sometimes we call it, played with Melissa for over 5 years through her awesome Yoga and Pilates classes. I recently went through a series of Personal Training Sessions on the Pilates Reformer Machine with Melissa and learned so much! Melissa is very knowledgeable in all aspects of her training. She meets your individual needs and is patient about answering every little question you might have. She loves what she does and lives what she does. Her enthusiasm is inspiring. As a long distance runner, and someone who has a moderate case of scoliosis in my back, her classes have kept me injury free and standing up taller. Whenever I finish a class with her I feel destressed and I am walking taller. Give her classes a try. You will be glad you came!
Melissa is my favorite Yoga teacher. She is always queuing form and posture. She takes the time to check to see if you are aligned and doing the pose correctly. I appreciate this because I don't want to get hurt. Her classes are always refreshing and she's offering up challenges or options that work for everyone. She has a positive attitude and brings with her a peaceful confidence. Her music is class appropriate and enjoyable. She is an asset to any classes that is lucky enough to have her for a teacher.

I had the good fortune of meeting Melissa six years ago when she was teaching a small group yoga class on Saturday mornings in a nearby church. Six years later I am still with her, and in addition for the the last 3 yrs., I take her Pilates reformer class weekly as well as do partner training. She is the reason I am physically strong today. Melissa is a pro. She is knowledgeable and continues to upgrade her skills. She is consistent. She prepares for every class and is aware and respectful of all participants and their needs, as well as individual limitations. She keeps me in touch with where my strengths are and areas to be worked on. Melissa is a communicator and gentle but firm leader. She doesn't let me get lazy-which I can be :) PS: I am 74 yrs. and going!
I've had the pleasure of working with Melissa for several years both in both Yoga and Pilates Reformer at Minnesota Valley YMCA. Most recently, I've been doing reformer training for issues I have had related to injuries, knee and shoulder (not related to her class!). I have to say, I wish every fitness instructor was a conscientious as she. Melissa does her homework! It is never one size fits all in her classes. The exercises are geared to the individual. She is a stickler on proper form which I so appreciate, as I am well aware that injuries are often caused by lack of attention to detail. And...she is a very kind and pleasant lady. I thoroughly enjoy her classes and learn something new each and every time.
