This coming Spring, I would complete four years of taking small group workouts at Tri Valley Trainer.
When I started there, I was 206 lbs, diagnosed as pre-diabetic and on the cusp of taking blood pressure medication. Today, I’m over forty lbs lighter, normal A1C and a 108/60 blood pressure. I credit TVT and Melissa for it.
Melissa’s small group workouts are fun, changing every day and challenges you to higher levels each day. After all this time, last week, I counted four new exercises Melissa introduced to us. Every week, there are new workouts, new sets, new levels to reach.
The workouts keep you hooked. There’s no repetition. Every day I look forward to working out - something I thought I would never say in my life.
Melissa knows our limits and knows how to push us onward and upward. I’ve seen the fitness of the group improve dramatically. The folks who are part of TVT are a great help. As a group, we silently motivate each other and support each other to reach higher levels.
Getting fit meant I could attempt to do things I’ve always wanted to do in life but could never do. I completed the 84 mile High Sierra Trail recently and more than once a day, I was thankful for TVT for my fitness.

For years, exercise was nothing more to me than a necessary evil to better prepare for sports or manage my weight. It was never meant to be fun, and then I met Melissa!
