Hey everyone! My name is Melissa and I am a personal trainer and group fitness instructor. I was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio and after having received my Master's degree in May 2014 have moved back to Cleveland to pursue my passion of working with students in the campus recreation setting. I enjoy teaching a variety of class formats including cycling, yoga, pilates, boot camp, kickboxing, core, and strength/toning classes. I am a certified Health Fitness Specialist through the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), AFAA Group Exercise Instructor, YogaFit Level 1 Instructor, Mad Dog Spinning Instructor, and am also American Red Cross CPR/AED and First Aid certified. Fitness and exercise has always been a part of my life, whether it was playing a neighborhood game of kick the can or playing organized sports or even running the last couple hundred feet with my pops for each race he ran in. Fitness has always surrounded me. It was during my freshman year at Ohio University when I took a group fitness class, that was taught by an upbeat and incredible instructor that I then realized how much of a love I truly had for fitness. From then on I felt right at home in the fitness studio. I am also an adrenaline junkie and enjoy participating in outdoor adventures such as white water rafting and sky diving.

    I absolutely loved having Melissa as my personal trainer! She is excellent at meeting you where you are and helping you improve from there. After just a month I started to see pretty significant changed in my body! More than just being a great fitness instructor, she was a great friend. She made a personal connection that really helps make you feel comfortable and more motivated to get fit.

    The best! Very energetic, understanding and fun to work with! I grew tired of trainers who felt that yelling is the only way to motivate someone. Melissa does a fantastic job making everyone feel welcome and always puts on a fantastic workout! Since training with Melissa nearly two years ago, I have lost close to 40 pounds and feel healthier now then ever before!

    Melissa is awesome! I have been training with her for over six months now. I look forward to my sessions with her each week. I work out early in the morning and I start out slow, but by the end I am feeling great! Part of that are the routines, but part is her personality. She is a lot of fun to work with. She changes the workouts frequently so I don't get bored. Some of the exercises we do can be done at home as well. With her help, I am starting to reach my goals. I will continue training with her as long as I can!
