In addition to training my clients one-on-one or in small groups, I encourage them to join me on "fitness field trips", e.g. runs, cycle classes, yoga classes, etc. I hold a number of certifications and try to incorporate a wide variety of fitness genres into my workouts.

    I have trained with Melanie for over 9 years in individual, small group and fitness class settings and have changed gym memberships to continue working out with her. She is an energetic motivator and helps you keep working hard through your entire workout, even the ones at 6 o'clock in the morning. She recently helped me to stay fit during my pregnancy and return back to my old shape after delivery. She continues to stay educated on fitness and nutrition and both incorporates this knowledge into workouts and shares helpful articles. She is endlessly encouraging, never judgmental and I always look forward to working out with her!

    Melanie has been my trainer since 2008 in both individual and small group settings. I also regularly attend her weekly IndoRow classes. The fact that I have been with Mel for almost 5 years - following her from the YMCA to Dan Wall Fitness - is a testament to her excellent training methods. She knows many different ways to work the various muscle groups, so workouts are never boring. She is highly attentive to form, and knows my strengths and weaknesses so I get the most out of each workout. In small group settings she alters the workout to accomodate each person's - for example bad knees, sore wrist, pregancy... She pushes without being pushy, she is constantly thinking of new ways to keep her clients motivated, she is your best cheerleader - she truely cares and wants to make you a fitter, healthier person. I rate Melanie with 5 stars!
