A lifelong athlete, Mary returned to competitive swimming as an adult and achieved multiple top 10 finishes at US Masters Swimming Nationals several years in a row. She learned from this experience that with a well-designed training plan, being older doesn't necessarily mean being slower and weaker! She also has a personal appreciation for the importance of using proper technique, maintaining flexibility and adding variety to a training program in order to achieve fitness goals and remain injury-free. Mary believes that exercise not only makes you physically stronger, but improves your emotional well-being too, enabling you to meet head-on the challenges that come your way.
