Hi everyone, I'm Matthew Abel, owner and head trainer of Abel Bodied Personal Training. I am also one of the staff personal trainers at Bally's Total Fitness (the one in Perkins Rowe). I'm pretty new to Personal Training, and I'm young. But that does NOT mean my workouts or knowledge should be taken lightly. I'm originally from Hammond, LA, however, I grew up right outside of Washington D.C. Now I'm back here in the wonderful state of Louisiana, eager to help people reach their fitness goals. I specialize in bodybuilding, calisthenics, core training, functional strength training, power-lifting/strongman/strength training, general fitness/health, weight loss, weight gain, weight management, and many other areas. I'm sure I can help you to help yourself in reaching your fitness goals. I believe exercise is absolutely key, to becoming a more happy YOU. Your body was designed to work! Don't let it go to waste:) As a good friend of mine once said: An investment in your health is an investment in yourself.

Note: Be sure and check out my awesome blog at !! You can find answers to common fitness and nutrition questions/concerns, more information on how YOU can achieve your fitness goals in no time, and more information on personal training!

How amazing to see the difeerfnce in the facility in less than 1 month! Not only the facility saw changes though. This past week we showed 3 women who had never attended Zumba just how fun it could be to work out. And we had a client who had never been on a pole doing a fireman spin by the end of the week.Seeing people get stronger and more confident. Or finding a joy for movement that they didn't know they had. Having FUN together! That's why we do what we do! -Carrie
