Mark Cheng is a rarity in the world of fitness. With an extensive background in traditional martial arts, he went on to study traditional Chinese medicine, specializing in Tui-Na (Chinese manual medicine) therapies. He is currently a licensed acupuncturist in California and holds a Ph.D. in Chinese medicine & acupuncture. Thanks to his patient, the world renowned Bruce Lee disciple Dan Inosanto, Cheng was introduced to Hardstyle kettlebell training pioneer, Pavel Tsatsouline. Training diligently under Tsatsouline's watchful eye, Dr. Cheng earned his RKC instructor certification and was eventually promoted to Senior RKC instructor. Thanks to Tsatsouline, Cheng was introduced to Functional Movement Screen (FMS) founder, Gray Cook, under whom he now serves as an FMS faculty member. Because of the unique combination of influences in his background, Dr. Cheng brings a unique approach to strength & conditioning training, focused on using the kettlebell for functional rehab & prehab!
