I'm Marianne, and I'm originally from N. Ireland. I started my career as a Cardiac Nurse over 10 years ago, but along the way, I gravitated towards fitness as a way to help promote long-term health and wellness. Having a chronic illness myself (an autoimmune arthritis), I know first hand the health benefits of exercise; both physically and mentally (living with pain is not easy).

I'm an ACSM Certified Personal Trainer, Certified Kettlebell Instructor, Founder of MyomyFitness, MyomyStudio, The Pull-Up Academy, and Co-Founder of Girls Gone Strong and Get Glutes. I have been helping people find their fit-selves online and in person for 8 years. Now I'd love to come to you and help you reach your goals.

Honestly, the best part of the work that I do is seeing the changes in my clients' demeanour. Not just seeing them get physically stronger, moving better and getting leaner, but seeing them find confidence they didn't know they had. Their fitness journey becomes an expression of who they are, and it causes a shift in how they see themselves. In effect they become fit for their purpose in life and it's wonderful to be a part of their story.

    I first became acquainted with Marianne as a one-off. My girlfriend was following one of her programs and the results that she was getting were impressive. While I consider myself an active person, I usually have a certain resistance to strength training and lean harder into sports and movement like parkour and hiking. Enrolling in Marianne's program not only helped me to actually ENJOY strength training, but also has been paying off in dividends in my activities or choice. Her responsive programming, personal attention, and thoughtful analysis and cueing make it an absolute delight to work with her, and working with her makes living a life of fitness more possible than I'd hoped or imagined. If you're considering the possibility of having her as your coach, DO IT.

    Although I discovered Marianne's MyOMy website about 3 years ago, I've been working with her personally for the last 5 months online via her chin up academy. I'm pretty active but a chin up was something that alluded me, so I was anxious to give it a try! After about 8-10 weeks, I was able to do it from a full hang; so empowering!! The personalized feedback for each of us has been wonderful! She listens to your concerns and limitations and provides sound advice to work within your constraints. Additionally, she understands how we are all human and doesn't condemn when you want a glass of wine or a cookie!

    I discovered Marianne about 5 years ago through her online exercise videos on myomytv. I loved the simplicity and effectiveness of her workouts. I could do them in my studio apartment with limited equipment and feel I got a better workout than going to a busy gym. Today I'm lucky enough to call Marianne my personal coach. After hurting myself a few years back working out, my confidence and strength was shot. She's been able to design workouts for me, support me in gaining back my confidence, and get my strength back very quickly. I can not say enough about how special Marianne is and how fun she is to work with. I HIGHLY recommend!

    I am an online client of Marianne's and am fortunate to be in her "reach for the bars" program aimed toward achieving a chin up. In less than two months I was able to to get a chin up from a dead hang. Her full body workouts increased my balance, core, and upper body strength, all while maintaining my squat and deadlift. While being an effective and efficient trainer, her true strength lies in being able to coach both mind and body. I carried into this program a slew of self doubt and body image issues. Not only did Marianne encourage me to keep going, she reminded how to motivate myself along the way. To me, this is truly invaluable. I cannot recommend her enough.

    Marianne coached me (and a small online group of other fitness enthusiasts) towards achieving our first chin-up (or regaining it after injury, in my case). Her workout program and coaching were informed by her incredible knowledge about strength training, health, injury, pain and the possibilities of the human body. Not only did I regain my chin-up, but I could do 6 of them within a few months. I also lost 6 kgs of body weight (mostly fat), retained strength in all other areas and fixed imbalances that had limited my strength and wellbeing for years. Whenever anyone in our group struggled, she would compassionately motivate us and find ways to adapt the workouts to our individual needs, schedules, other sports endeavours and pre-existing injuries. Not only am I more confident in my body, I also feel better and more confident in other areas of my life. I am recommending her holistic coaching to everyone - especially the lucky people who live close enough to her to be coached in person!
