Margarette Adelman

As with many, my interest in fitness began at a young age with sports. As I watched my family age and develop many health problems I shifted my focus to medicine. I worked for many years in medical research mainly focusing on diabetes.

About 10 years ago, my asthma became so bad that I only had about 30% of lung function. Medicine became almost ineffective. I began slowly walking (even this was sometimes a struggle) and worked my way up. Within 3 years, not only was I teaching fitness classes but my lung volume has increased drastically. The restrictions in my lungs no longer affect me at all. I also have twins that I raised as a military wife so I understand the family-work-self struggle.

My life as a military wife, researcher and someone who has dealt with her own health and weight struggles give me a strength not many have. I can stay on top of the latest research, and even more important decipher between a well controlled experiment and those which are just headline grabbers.

My goal is to find a program that is sustainable and meets your goals. I believe in customizable programs that change with you as your life changes. I want my clients to understand why I have them do certain exercises so that in the long run they will no longer need me. This is the biggest compliment I can receive.
