I was ready to make a change when the opportunity to work with Lisa presented itself. But it took Lisa's guidance and encouragement to get me seriously started and to open up aspects of physical training that I would never have understood or been able to do without her. For years I had settled for walking outside or on my treadmill and working out on my exercise bike, but even those not consistently. I knew I was missing out on many of the components I would need to become strong, flexible, and physically healthy overall as I enter my 7th decade of life. Lisa listened to my story, my excuses, my struggles, my fears, my preferences, and my strengths and weaknesses, and she designed routines specific to accomodate all of those components. The routines are unique to me, and I was given specific individualized instructions for beginning these routines and for growing into them as I become stronger. Lisa is excellent, timely, and consistent at checking on progress, answering questions, modifying individual exercises (as I realize that certain movements are bothersome to my knees or wrists, for example), and keeping me motivated. She also listens and gently encourages me to not let lapses in my dedication to this process deter me from my overall goal. I truly believe that if not for Lisa, I would not have taken this step toward improved physical health, and that with her guidance and encouragement, I will go into this next decade in better physical health than I have had for years.
