I have a huge passion for finding fun, enjoyable ways to move my body in order to maintain mobility and energy for a life of freedom. I struggled with poor body image, excess weight, sedentary habits, and lack of correct information regarding nutrition and exercise for many years. I lost and gained the same fifty pounds throughout my teens and twenties.
I finally made the decision to base my choices on accurate, verified scientific research, and I made small lifestyle changes very, very slowly. I found ways to enjoy exercise, challenge myself to meet goals, and find patience to love myself even when goals aren't being met. I've been living a healthier lifestyle since 2010 and have grown to love fitness in ways I never imagined.
I obtained my ACE Group Fitness Instructor certification in May 2014, and then my ACE Personal Trainer certification in April 2016. My short-term goal is to connect with one or two clients for in-home personal training sessions during evening and weekend hours. My long-term goal is to shed my day job and develop personal training as my own business.
