Lee is considered a leading advocate and coach for power walking distance events. Trained to be a mechanical engineer, Lee found passion and purpose drew her to the health and fitness industry more than 24 years ago. After teaching all types of fitness classes in clubs and community recreation facilities for 12 years, she developed the WoW Power Walking® program in 2002 and subsequently produced Simple Secrets for a Great Walking Workout DVD-CD in 2006 to engage people in a challenging and sustainable lifelong fitness activity. Scott trains people to walk for fun, fitness, and distance races. She has also trained coaches to do the same. She has power walked more than 70 distance events including 23 full marathons. She has won many walk events including the Chilly Half Marathon, the KW Walking Classic Half Marathon and 10k events, the 2008 Cleveland Marathon, Casino Niagara Full marathon, Midsummer Night’s Run, and more. Her personal best for a full marathon is 4:51:51 and for a half marathon is 2:14:58. In 2013, Lee became a 200-hour certified yoga instructor with Julie Rader's Mukti Yoga (a member of Yoga Alliance). She loves incorporating yogic philosophy and asanas to complement her walkers performance.
