LJ Fenton

Houston, TX 77081

In the world of fitness, I am very passionate about eating healthy and staying fit. In today's hospital environment, fitness is paramount in your recovery; For example, after bypass surgery, one of the first things they do is get you up and moving. I volunteer at Ronald McDonald House- Houston and also downtown feeding the homeless and I find it very rewarding. Giving back to your community can have an impact on not just the people you are serving but also an impact on yourself. Remember...it is never too late to exercise, which may be walking, gardening, or simply taking your kids to the park.

LJ is a wonderful, smart, supportive trainer. I am 58, post-menopausal, and after many years trying to lose weight, through my workouts with LJ, I have finally lost that 15 pounds I gained when having children. LJ suggested important diet changes and directed my weight training and cardio to compliment the new diet. I have lost the weight slowly and methodically with a lot of support from LJ. Its very different than my usual crash dieting and quickly regaining the weight.

Also, LJ was instrumental in getting my strength back when I tore a bicep muscle from slipping off a stair stepper. He designed a workout plan to bring the muscle back into use. I now have complete strength and full movement in the arm. He really understands the body!

I highly recommend LJ. He's great!

Also, LJ was instrumental in getting my strength back when I tore a bicep muscle. I tore it when I slipped off a stair stepper. LJ designed a program which slowly but surely recovered all the strength in that arm. It took awhile and was painful, but the arm is just as strong as my other now and he did a great job getting me back in shape.

    I highly recommend LJ!

Six years ago at the age of 58 I was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease. I had become like a weak, frail 90 year old woman. I was tripping, falling, needed help getting up from a chair, etc. Thanks to LJ, I no longer fit that description. LJ has not only worked with me to strengthen my muscles, but he has also given me exercises to improve my balance. Boy have I come a long way! I can now open doors without assistance, lift and carry 24 bottle cases of water, walk without tripping and falling, and most importantly, I can stand up from a sitting position on the floor with my toddler grandson in my arms! Thank you, LJ!!!!
I always look forward to working with LJ. He is interesting, well read, kind, generous, and he is genuinely interested in helping others. Not only is this shown through his work at the gym, but by choosing to make time from his busy work schedule to volunteer regularly. I highly recommend LJ. I am proof of what a positive change he can make in someone's life.

I heard about LJ before I met him. He was the trainer who was always reading, studying anatomy of muscles, bones and joints and making life better for his clients. When I began training with LJ I saw first hand how he used his knowledge to make my physical well being better. He has helped me recover form some significant muscle and nerve injuries with patient guidance and attention to detail in the training experience.
At first LJ assessed my condition and readiness for the program that he developed and tailored to my needs. He observed my form and made adjustments to correct my motion and function.
He an I share a love of reading and current events so there is always something new to review and discuss. If you are seeking a certified trainer who is not only knowledgeable about musculoskeletal systems but is a kind, reliable person of integrity LJ fits the bill.
