I began my career as a fitness professional in 2001, when I worked in the weight room at the Suffolk JCC in Long Island. I moved to Western New York to continue my education and graduated from Buffalo State College in 2004 with a Bachelor’s in Health and Wellness and a concentration in Adult Fitness. With a passion for wellness, I immersed myself into all I could learn about exercise and nutrition. I took classes in subjects such as Anatomy & Physiology, Nutrition, Kinesiology and Disease Prevention.
After graduating, I went on to become a Fitness Specialist at American Axle’s Employee Fitness Center, where I had the pleasure of working with many terrific people. In August of 2009, I took a position as Manager of an employee fitness center located in Buffalo, New York. As I get to know all of the members, I am hearing some truly inspiring success stories. Members who have lost body-fat, who feel better, move better, have greater energy – this is what makes being a fitness professional so rewarding.
