I always loved running and moving. I was just brought up that way playing outside with 4 siblings. I was very active and I found enjoyment in it. I was deeply involved with competitive swimming and running in high school and also did some college running on the Salem State College Cross Country team. I was never the superstar but I always performed above average. After college I joined my local YMCA because I had a life guarding job there. I stared to help coach the youth swim team and using the gym to workout. I continued to run on my own. My biggest challenge was being consistent with my running. I would be great for a few weeks then not run for two weeks, this continued for many years. In 2007, I discovered personal training as a profession and I was all in. I enrolled in a 6-month personal training program at the National Personal Training Institute. I competed my training in April 2008. This was the first time that I started to be consistent with my workouts and it made all the difference. All my minor issues, like my wrists hurting when I did push-ups, went away because I had finally maintained a exercise routine long enough for it to actually make me stronger. This lesson is one of my main focuses with my clients. I want my clients to invest in the long term benefits that actually help them feel and move better.
Today I am building my own Private personal training business. I have learned so much over the past 12 years and I continue to develop and take fitness education courses. I want to share my love and passion for fitness with others. It made me feel so confident and strong. I want every one of my clients to be happier and healthier.
I am a running coach and group exercise instructor as well. I teach HIIT, Cardio kickboxing, Bootcamp, Fitness trampoline classes, Jump rope classes, Balletone, Pilates, Core and Specialty programs. Virtual and In-person.
I believe we can move pain-free and the body is self-healing, so personal training is one amazing way to bring the body back into balance to allow the function and healing to occur.
