As a personal trainer and Pilates instructor, my emphasis is conditioning the body to promote uniform development of all muscle groups, flexibility, and skeletal alignment. I apply the principles of stabilization, control, concentration, efficiency of movement, full range of motion, and breath to help clients reach challenges in their bodies more effectively, as well as create ways to deal with life’s physical and emotional stresses.

    I have been working with Kari on and off for the past 4-5 years. She is fully committed to her craft always attending conferences and other trainings. I'm always impressed with how easily she incorporates a variety of modifications during her group classes. She is very knowledgeable and experienced with pregnancy and post-partum concerns/challenges; I was doing Pilates, or some incredibly modified version of, with Kari through the 8th month of my twin pregnancy.

    And above all her expertise in fitness and Pilates, she is a super nice and genuine woman to get to know and spend time with while you're getting a workout in.

    Every time I see Kari I am amazed by her uncanny ability to know just what my body needs that day. She'll ask me how I am, and I say "fine," and she says, "Really? Let's work on shoulders today." I call her, "The Doctor." She knows just what I need.
    I hope, one day, to be as intuitive with my clients as Kari is with me.
    She is something to aspire to.

    Kari has been my Pilates Instructor for the past 7 years. I truly don't know what I would do without her. She has taught me so much about improving my health and fitness regime. Even after 7 years, Kari is always finding ways to make the work outs challenging and different, so I never get bored. When working out with a duo or trio, Kari is extremely successful in customizing the workout so each person gets the most of the class. I feel lucky to have found Kari!

    Working with Kari has helped me connect better to my body on a mental and physical level. Not only does she give me a great work out, but she also gives me tools and exercises that I can use on my own at home. Each workout is a little different and she is always atune to what is going on with my body and my physical strengths and weaknesses. I also worked with her while I was 8 and 9 months pregnant and never felt better throughout the pregnancy than after our sessions. After I delivered she helped me reconnect with my pre-pregnancy body. The workouts are a challenge, yet she also makes sure I am doing everything correctly. Each time I see her I learn something new. I feel extremely forturnate to be able to work with Kari.

    I have been working with Kari for almost 2 years and fell in love with her and her style of teaching in my very first class. She is dedicated to her craft and wants to learn more about my body so she can help me help myself. She is supportive of pushing me to the next level, but never at the expense of injury.

    Her classes are always different and she is always smiling and sweet. If you are beginner or a pro you will love Kari - she has helped me through post c-section recovery, recent back issues and just plain daily stress release while strengthening my core!
