I was never athletic or especially healthy growing up. I was just your average girl, but after marriage and a high stress corporate job I began to see the affects of my not so healthy lifestyle. I tried joining a gym, pills, liquid diets but they never gave me lasting results. My real change came while living in South America in 2002. While living abroad I began to experience anxiety and panic attacks. After research I decided to try exercise and a diet change to help me cope with my disorder. Well I was pleasantly surprised that not only was I able to lessen the severity of my attacks but it came with an added benefit....a new body! Unfortunately after moving stateside again the stresses of every day life caused my good habits to slip. I gained my weight back. It wasn't until I started working as a rehab tech and leading group exercise classes did I again remember the positive results of exercise both physically and emotionally. I decided to make Health and Fitness my Profession.
Personal Training should be PERSONAL to each client. Every body reacts differently to changes in diet and exercise. It's my job to find out what combination works best for you, and to have fun during the journey. The changes do not come overnight but they will come if you are consistent and honest with yourself.
