I began my running career in eighth grade by joining the Cross Country team. At that point I honestly hated everything about running... the miles, the distance, time commitment, sweating, the pain and the grind. So trust me, I know running can suck. After a not too bad eighth grade year I decided I enjoyed to the sport and decided to train seriously. I entered my freshman year of high school at Lehman Catholic High School based out of Sidney, Ohio running some solid times always improving into my senior of High School. After High School I was recruited to join the successful Saint Leo University Cross Country and Track programs. One of the many reasons why I started Stride to Achieve Athletics, aside from just wanting to train myself for my own success as well as being coached by others, was to set a standard for those other personal trainers who have been cheating you and outright lying to you and me for years. Even more recently, it seems that everywhere I turn another “coach” or “trainer” who is training individuals ineffectively or prolonging training so that they can make more money. This fuels me even more to fight like hell to make sure that you have a place to turn to and someone who you can truly trust in and rely on to provide you true and effective training and advice. I am not someone who is trying to simply compete with the market and train as many people as possible. Just like you, I am an athlete who wants to get results from the hard work I put in at the gym and on the trails and road and cares about what I put in my body. I always had an idea of what training to do and how to complete it as well as the impacts on my body. Being coached by many mediocre and high profile coaches I have learned a lot of the what not to do and what to do’s in the athletic training world. This also allows me to see training in many different styles and techniques for what works with every individual person rather than my way or the high way. This is why I believe a customized program is far more effective than a generic program. I firmly stand behind the ideals that a coach is a trusted partner in your dream to be better. Someone who will drive to you to Strive to Achieve. This is exactly why all runners deserve the same personal attention and expert advice that the world's best runners receive. As a result, this personal advice and coaching is what I offer to you. ?
