I've had people ask me "do you get a kick out of causing people pain and suffering?" and it always makes me laugh. A personal trainer isn't meant to yell orders, make you cry, and eventually cause you to hate exercise. In order for progress to be made, there needs to be a good relationship between you and the trainer, otherwise a barrier to learning is created. I am here to teach, motivate, coach, and most importantly learn from you and how I can help you to accomplish your goals.
I moved to Windward Oahu at a young age and because Hawaii has amazing oceans, beaches, and mountains, I soon became experienced in surfing, hiking, freediving/SCUBA diving, weight lifting, and trail running. My passion for exercise, fitness, the outdoors, healthy eating, and living have always played a paramount role in my life and what I represent; I want to share and develop a similar interest, passion and enthusiasm within you.
After an in-depth evaluation of your current exercise and dietary potential, as well as your strength and commitment, I will create an individual workout program for you, designed to meet your specific needs and goals. These programs begin and advance according to your strengths and limitations, and usually begin indoors with equipment such as light weights, TRX suspension bands, and cardio exercises; then advance to high intensity interval training, heavier weights, and more advanced exercises. According to your comfort level, I encourage you to participate in outdoor activities such as trail runs, paddle boarding, hiking, swimming, and kayaking, among many others. I will create an exercise and dietary program that will be manageable, meet your busy schedule, give you the results you want; and most of all, be enjoyable so you can continue for years to come!
