Wow, what an exciting 20 year journey it has been in this fabulous fitness industry. The adventure has taken me from creating a gold standard group training class, to running my own mobile training business, to designing a posture program with a physiotherapist, to writing eBooks, and teaching a train the trainer course on a niche population. Some of the areas I have expertise in are: joint replacement, weight loss, cross training for runners, healthy back programs, women's health, posture, youth, functional training programs, and Parkinson's.

My educational training began at Simon Fraser University with a diploma in Kinesiology and I am also a certified ACE Advanced Exercise Specialist. As an avid learner with a keen interest to stay up to date, I have attended numerous IDEA fitness conferences to get trained from the top experts in our industry.

For 10 years I lead the joint replacement classes for people with arthritis preparing for and recovering from knee and hip replacement surgery. From the experience I gained through the years, I designed a full day workshop and manual for personal trainers on how to design training programs for clients pre and post hip or knee operation. Realizing that there was a demand for this knowledge for clients as well in all areas of the world, I went to work on creating 2 ebooks on hip and knee replacement exercises.     Jody is an amazing person, she has helped me move through so much with kindness, warmth and love, not to mention her great training talents! After a car accident, I suffered through fibromyalgia, Jody was integral in assisting me to get better. She cared and that is what mattered most! A couple of years ago, I suffered an ankle fracture and Jody was there again to keep me sane through my recovery which is still going on 18 months later. Again she cared and that is what is most important to me! She is also an amazing and caring trainer, gently but firmly pushing me forward and trust me that is not always easy, especially when I hurt!
    I highly recommend Jody, you will be happy to know her and work with her!

    I have been a personal training client of Jody's for the past 5 years and could not recommend her more highly. There are so many characteristics of Jody that I value, that I'm not sure what to highlight! From a training perspective, I love that Jody is always learning new things that make my workouts interesting, effective and safe for my body. I also admire her ability to instantly alter my workout to meet my needs on a particular day (based on my overall health, sleep, injuries, etc.) From a professional standpoint, I value that Jody is 100% reliable and professional - respecting my investment of time and money. And on a personal note, being someone that doesn't love working out, no matter how unmotivated I am feeling when I arrive at the gym, I know that Jody will use her genuine enthusiasm and incredible positive thinking to help me re-energize, re-focus and that I will leave the gym feeling great!
