My name is Jill, I’m not a an outstanding athlete and I never won the genetic lottery that made it easy to be thin. I am a genuine, personable, and hard working fitness enthusiast who strives to have better health and a better body. I have struggled with a fear of weight gain and a poor diet most of my life. Those two facts have lead me to try dozens of new things and to study through school and certifications ways to become healthy that work with my chaotic schedule and love for change. Activities I’ve tried to stay in shape include: running, rock climbing, pole fitness, biking, cycling classes, group fitness classes, hula hooping, personal training, yoga, surfing, skating, snowboarding, soccer, underwater hockey, kayaking, and dancing. Through all of my trials and follies I’ve learned one underlying principle… With enough time, practice, and focus your body will adapt to what it needs to do. I remember thinking I would never be able to do pull ups because I was never strong enough when I was a teenager. Several months after I began climbing, I could do more than 7 pull ups in a row. It does not matter what you couldn’t do before, it matters how you overcome that today.
