I've worked in health and fitness since 1992 and love my job! My style is FUN, high energy and enthusiastic; my goal is to get you out of your comfort zone, have you work harder than you thought you could and have a great time doing it. I want your workout to be the best hour of your day! I find creative ways to teach clients everything they need to know to take control of their health and fitness; as your trainer I want you to understand the how and why of your program so you can feel confident working out on your own. I won’t compromise on FORM ,and always emphasize proper technique and execution before progression. I love working with people who are just beginning an exercise program; who want to learn how to reach their goals, what works best for their body, and how to do it properly, as well as those who want to add variety and diversity to their existing program. I’m particularly passionate about helping people who have been through a major health issue and are starting at “Ground Zero”. Having been through my own significant medical challenges, I know first-hand what it’s like to be a healthy, active person completely sidelined by a serious diagnosis, and having to build my fitness back up from scratch. In 2007 I was diagnosed with a rare, life-threatening disease. I underwent two stem cell transplants, which resulted in medically-induced menopause, osteoporosis, and a double hip replacement all by the age of 40. The whole experience was a wake-up call to focus on my health from the inside-out; in the past my main concern was how I looked and how well my jeans fit, but I knew optimal health was only possible by starting with the inside.
