Before I started working with Jamie, I had what I would consider low self-esteem when it came to my body image. I was never confident in the way I looked no matter how hard I worked out. I had a poor concept of what a good diet consisted of and would feel overwhelmingly guilty anytime I treated myself. I went to Jamie in hopes that she would just revamp my workouts. Little did I know she would give me a completely new outlook on fitness. She taught me the importance of strength training and how it was ok for women to lift weights more than we are used to. News flash: we don’t get huge! I got toned arms, more defined abs, and a firmer butt because of lifting weights more often and doing less cardio. Jamie taught me the concept of “clean eating” which my husband and I have both embraced and feel more energized throughout the day. And the best part: it’s fine to have a treat every now and then without an ounce of guilt! Finally, Jamie helped me learn to accept and eventually love who I am. I realized I would never be a size 2 or weigh 120 pounds, but I could be strong and athletic and proud of it! One of her favorite things to say is “the scale is just a number, not who you are!” Jamie helped guide me into a new lifestyle and frame of mind over the past year and a half. She stays up-to-date on the latest research and newest techniques to keep you on your toes during workouts. To this day I still work with her, only now we have a new obstacle: pregnancy! Thus far, she’s consistently motivating me to keep up with my workouts, suggests beneficial exercises, and of course keeps me eating “clean.” She’s one of the best trainers around and I highly recommend her to all those wanting to get the most out of their fitness routine.

I have taken group classes from Jamie as well as followed an exercise plan she made customized for me. She knows her exercises and does great at making it unique for each person. She pushes me without scaring me away. She inspires me and is great for accountability! She also has great ideas on nutrition. I am impressed at how much she cares for each individual and truly wants us to be our best self. I highly recommend Jamie!

I have had the privilege of knowing and training with Jamie for about 3 years. We first met in her boot camp class, which was finally the perfect blend of difficulty for me! I really enjoyed the fact that she didn't go easy on us :) We continued with personal training sessions where I learned so much about strength training and what it takes to make a difference in the way your body looks and feels. Jamie is a caring person who skillfully balances kindness and understanding with her desire to help you see results by working really hard. She will make the most of your time together and even help with diet suggestions. Working with her sparked my interest in exercise again and showed me how important regular exercise is to our physical and emotional health. Two thumbs up!
