I have spent the past 27+ years maintaining a healthy lifestyle through strength and cross training, martial arts, and a disciplined nutritional diet. I enjoy inspiring people around me to live happier, healthier lives through exercise, proper eating, and minimizing unnecessary stresses by keeping a positive attitude. In 1992, I began martial art training in Freeport, NY where I trained and instructed Chung Do Kwan Tae Kwon Do. I became the first female Black Belt under my instructor and continued my training and obtained my 2nd degree Black Belt before moving to Las Vegas. While living in Vegas, I continued my training/instructing under various instructors, taught cardio kickboxing classes and became a certified judge and referee for the Nevada State TKD Association. In 2000, I moved back to NY and spent 5 years training, instructing and working in a defensive tactics Wing Chun Kung Fu school, as well as working part time for the American Women’s Self Defense Association. At the age of 40, I decided to leave my office job and became certified at the Personal Training Institute where I currently am still a trainer. In addition to the one on one training, I teach bootcamp classes at The Fitness Loft Manhasset and I travel on a regular basis throughout the year to participate in Spartan and other obstacle races.
I've learned from various training methods that sustainable strength training, minimal joint damage & continuous full body conditioning is allowing people to continue to be far stronger throughout life & do things that they never considered possible...and surpass people far younger than they are.
