Elisa Hein is a dedicated fitness professional and enthusiast. She has been a personal trainer for over 14 years and is certified by the American Council on Exercise, National Accademy of Sports Medicinel as well as Road Runners Club of America. She has also earned specialty certifications from the Functional Againg Institute, Super Slow (high intensity strength training), Silver Sneakers (older adult and senior fitness), TRX (suspension training) and is a HEAT Protocol Specialist-HPS (Hyper Efficient Anatomical Triggering). For the past 5 years she has worked as a Race Director for Athlete Services, organizing triathlons and endurance events in Southern California. Her point of view on fitness is simple. "I believe fitness should be accessible to anyone and that it is never too late to start. Being fit doesn't mean looking like an adonis or super-model. It means making some small changes, one step at a time." Elisa is an active member of the Los Angeles Tri Club. She enjoys endurance racing and has participated in a number of events, some of which include Ironman Arizona, Wildflower, Soma and Oceanside 70.3, along with many local running events ranging in distance from 5K to marathons. Originally from Portland Oregon, she now resides in West LA with her husband, two young children, and French bulldog.
