My husband was diagnosed with RA and I have disks problem in both my neck and back. We were not sure how we were going to continue doing the things that we loved because of all the pain. My doctor sent me to Physical Therapy which is how I met Devon. I work with Devon for a couple of months in PT and towards the end I asked if he worked with people that have health issues that at times keep them from moving, that was almost a year ago. In the beginning all I wanted was for my husband and I get moving again. We started slow, he's been very patient with us. He has vast knowledge of the fitness industry, he emails us new articles about fitness and health, we have also created accounts online so that he can follow our workouts at home. The end story is he was key in helping take two people from the couch to working out 3 days a week, boxing, weight training, hiking, walking, golfing and so much more. At the end of this month we are going on a great trip with our kids to the Canadain Rockies, before Devon we would be waiting at the condo for the kids to come back, now we will be hiking with the kids, thanks Devon, he is the best trainer, health couch a person could ask for.

I was involved in body building and power lifting for over 20 years. Over the course of my trainings I have dealt with many physical therapist and trainers. Some of whom train NFL players. In all my experiences, Devon has been by far the most effective and efficient trainer I have had. In March of 2013 I injured myself to the point that I lost feelings in both my legs and could not even stand. I was taken to ER and spent 7 days in hospital before I could even stand. I was diagnosed with 5 herniated disks. L1 through L5S1. The doctors told me that I will need a surgery and will never see inside of a gym again. This was few months after my first child's birth and the thought of not being to ever hold her to live my life normally almost made me depress. It has been over a year and with Devon's help, not only I avoided any surgery but I now work out 2 hours/ day 4 days a week. I learned how to work out but more importantly how to live my daily life without jeopardizing my back. I will continue to work with Devon as long as I plan to stand or walk. Thank you. By the way, my 2nd child is on the way and I look forward to playing with her as I do with my first.

I’ve been attending Devon Palermo’s, “Adaptive Boxing Fitness” class sponsored by the MedStar-National Rehabilitation Hospital in DC since January 2014. I can say I truly have benefited from his knowledge and expertise in the world of fitness, “my world“ of Adaptive Fitness. He pushes you to your maximum potential without risk or fail of accomplishing your goals. He has a vast knowledge on multiple levels of abilities. I haven’t followed a consistent exercise program in years…it feels good to get back into the “roll" of things. I highly recommend Devon to be your certified adaptive peonal trainer.

I am glad Devon has been placed in my path. I am a former baseball player from many years ago and only wish he had been around during my high school and collegiate years on the diamond. For, I have not doubt he can push anyone (professional or amateur) to the next level all for the greater good of their health and fitness. Do not expect cookie cutter workouts and/or him allowing you to merely put in a 1/2 hearted effort. If you need him to tell you what you want to hear, stay away. If you want him to tell you what you do not want to hear, call him.

Devon is the best! Patient, encouraging, and quick to smile. Makes working out motivating and fun. Really inspires me to push myself and eat well. I have never been in better shape and in addition to training with him I am finally also working out on my own. He has inspired me to incorporate fitness into my every day life. I cannot more highly recommend a personal trainer. Totally fantastic.
