I graduated with a BS in Exercise Science and an AS as a Health and Fitness Specialist. I have been working out since I was 13, I am now 39! I have helped many people train along the way as well.     The individual training programs that Denise creates are challenging but achievable and her energy and enthusiasm motivate me to constantly push myself. Her passion for fitness is evident in her knowledge and expertise. Her encouragement goes beyond our gym time with interesting articles, nutrition advice, and a sincere desire to instill a healthy lifestyle. Denise has given me confidence and continuing results that prove my goals are attainable. I would highly recommend Denise to anyone who is interested in change regardless of their fitness level.

    I was starting to notice small things like: balance when standing to put on my pants, I either backed into something or even sat down or lifting one leg to step up on something high. I knew I had to do something to keep my fitness and be able to keep the simple things that I had always taken for granted. I thought I didn’t have enough hours in the day to add one more thing….but then I found Denise and she made it fun, held me accountable and encouraged me every minute. My grandchildren are supreme and I never want to say “I can’t do that” when they want to play, swim or hike – I’m a farmer and the demands on my body are many; lifting, hauling, pushed around by animals, cleaning barn, etc.. Denise showed me how easy it was/is to keep your body strong, have the balance I remembered and wanted back, plus a fit body has a stronger immune system and the colds and flu pass you by. Please do not say you can’t afford a personal trainer, Denise is worth it and so are you!

    Denise is great to work with - she is a great teacher, very patient and observant. She is always adjusting my program based on my abilities and comfort level. I had never done any weight training when I started working with her and I have learned so much. I am much stronger and have improved my balance and stamina. I strongly recommend her to anyone who wants to improve their health and fitness.

    Denise is working with me to establish a plan for better health. We are currently working on an exercise plan that fits my capabilities and needs. She is very good to work with. She listens, observes, addresses concerns, and encourages. Denise creates, and makes adjustments to, a program that is well suited based on your requirements, age and physical condition and ability.

    Exceeds expectations! I have had four personal trainers over the years, and Denise sets herself apart from the rest through her evidence-based non-judgmental approach. She listens. She observes. And, she researches. The end result is a fitness program that met my needs in many ways. Along with the fitness schedule that was developed while in Cheboygan, she also developed one that would work in most any gym using training aids that are widely available. I appreciated her approach to monitor progress and providing that data electronically for my use.
