Colin Carriker, Ph.D., EP-C, FAHA

Dr. Colin Carriker is an educator and researcher at High Point University where he teaches undergraduate and graduate courses including Exercise Physiology and Exercise Testing/Prescription. He has worked in the fitness industry both as a personal trainer and a group fitness instructor and over the last 10 years he has published and presented his research on numerous topics ranging from Exercise Programing to Ergogenic Aids. His passion for translating science to application is evident in the Human Biomechanics and Physiology Lab where he supports his student research team collecting data to present at conferences and further disseminate their findings in peer-reviewed national and international journals.

Dr. Carriker is currently the Advocacy Ambassador for the American Heart Association's Council on Lifestyle and Cardiometabolic Health where is also serves as a member on the Lifestyle Leadership Committee.
