Chelsea Puchel

To give you a back story: I was in my freshman year of college working for an associates degree in Baking and Pastry when I got bit by the fitness/health bug. The freshman fifteen had slowly crept up on me without me even realizing it. I found myself huffing and puffing up stairs on the way to class and the button on my chef pants would pop if I exhaled too hard. Before I knew it I had packed on 25 pounds. Right then and there I decided that enough was enough so I bought my first workout DVD, Jillian Michaels No More Trouble Zones. I was hooked. After that I sought out every DVD I could get my hands on and when I hit a plateau I joined a gym. That's when my passion really took off. I've always wanted to make a difference in the world but was never quite sure how to do that until I started observing fellow members in the gym. I noticed that some were clueless with technique while others looked really intimidated or even embarrassed. To me, the gym is a place where you go to get healthy and to have fun doing it. Anybody that has willingly taken that first step and joined a gym should be motivated and encouraged. It's not a place just for the really fit. I've dealt with the yo yo dieting and the tears in the dressing room so I got my personal trainer certification through ACE and, am currently working on my fitness nutrition certification,so I could help others dealing with the same issues. I also plan on acquiring a Health Coach certification. My certification is relatively new but I've been working out and learning about fitness for over six years and I have a deep rooted passion for always knowing more.My education never stops. I also went to culinary school so I have a lot of knowledge about food/cooking and I think that makes me unique. I don't claim to know it all. I am constantly reading and learning. Fitness is my career and making a difference in people's lives is my passion. It's also my goal to get more women interested in lifting weights. If you're new to the fitness world and feeling a little overwhelmed or intimidated then contact me. It's ultimately your journey so we'll sit down and figure out, together, what will be the best way to get you to where you want to be. I'm going to include your thoughts in every step of the process. I'm happy to answer any questions or clear up any reservations that you may have. Your happiness is my top priority. I want you to succeed.Let's take that first step together.
