    Cal's reputation preceded her. I had been hearing about her for years. As my friends watched me sink into depression and a weight gain of over 100 pounds, they kept saying "You should call Cal." Eventually I feared I would lose my job as a firefighter because of my poor physical condition. I didn't want to call Cal because I thought I was hopeless. I finally did call Cal and she saved me. She came to my house with equipment I had never seen before. Working out was never boring. I never had a chance to doubt myself because Cal wouldn't let me. She kept me moving but throughout the workouts she talked to me about my problems big and small. She coached me through a huge relationship problem and I made a big change for the better. The workouts would fly by! I started to feel motivated...very motivated! On my days off I worked out with Cal in the morning and hiked in the afternoon. I started to look good enough that I put on my one piece bathing suit and went to water aerobics. My performance at work became markedly better. One of my girlfriends gasped when she passed me in her car while I was out for a walk. She said "Oh my God! Look at your arms. You look amazing". I participated in a mud run! I started socializing! I wish I could have worked out with Cal forever. My crazy work schedule made it hard to get home for workouts and a friend I started supporting financially made it hard to afford a trainer. I miss her.

    Sent Eva a private Thank You, but will write on this page...this is a humbling and honored review from a gal that had not realize her potential physically or mentally, probably for a long time, if ever. Eva was amazing to work with, "getting" every exercise and movement I asked of her. She became stronger, more excited, and took the initiative to exercise on her own, challenging herself to solo hikes, and participated in a "in your face" Mud Run. She works in a predominately male profession, and seemed not to take it for granted, like some others in this competitive market.     How lucky to be the first to review a person I believe to be the finest personal trainer I have ever known, or heard of.
    Cal Gerberding is an attractive, enthusiastic, bright, and knowledgeable trainer who can take you to any level of fitness you would like. She herself exemplifies the best qualities: a willingness to continue learning about best practices, and to put them into effect, patience with those of us "ancients" with whom she works, and excellent motivational skills. She is the whole package: conversant with issues of diet, exercise, and even rest (!), she is a role model in her own life activities. After you see the belt she wears while climbing mountains most people only photograph with awe, you realize you are dealing with a person who is capable of any goal she seeks, and who wants to help you achieve yours as well.
