Last time I wrote a comment about Calvin was back in 2014. It’s amazing how much passion he has for an active lifestyle. Even though we live miles apart now he still continues to grow and learn the fitness game. Traveling to conferences to make himself better for us. Calvin share his passion with his kids. And trust me the kids enjoy every bit of the fitness and Father Time. Even if you can be close you should still follow Calvin on social media. He can even help you via FaceTime:) or just seeing his post can motivate you to make a change when ready. Calvin started as my fitness friend but now I consider him a brother and part of the family.

I was referred to Orange Theory by a friend who specifically told me to seek out Calvin’s classes as he was the best trainer at the studio. Once I took a class with him I could see why my friend has spoken so highly of him. Calvin has an incredible energy, work ethic and knowledge that he transfers over to his clients every time he coaches. You can’t slack off when Calvin is around! I love that about him because he cares that you obtain maximum results from your workouts. I also appreciate that he takes the time to make sure each individual in the class has proper form and is performing each exercise correctly, and if need be he’ll tell you to up those weights! If you’re struggling Calvin will be there to encourage you and push you to complete the workout. Calvin cares about each individual that walks through that door and is always available for advice on how to improve nutrition or how you can reach the next level of your fitness goals. Since joining Orange Theory and working with Calvin I have gotten leaner, faster and stronger. I look forward to Calvin’s classes because I know I will be put to work and I will get results!

My favorite thing about working with Calvin is not only did I lose weight but he actually pushed me to get in shape. In April of this year he set a goal for me to be a jogger by June. In my head I was thinking "yeah right". I figured in my late 30s I was destined to be a lifetime power walker. I'm originally from the KC metro area. I played 3 sports growing up was always active but never ran much off of a basketball, volleyball court or softball field. I moved to OKC in 2013 along with a new city & environment came several pounds. I could see the difference when I looked in the mirror & noticed I had to go up 2 sizes when clothes shopping. I just couldn't get motivated to get active. In 2015 I moved back to the KC area & realized I needed to make a change. I tried several different videos but nothing was working. It was the first time I struggled with weight loss. I started to work with Calvin & the pounds started to melt away. My goal was to drop the 2 pants sizes I gained & so far have dropped 3. I also am proud to call myself a jogger. A few more months with Calvin & I'm confident I'll get to call myself a runner. He is not only very knowledgeable but very encouraging & energetic. Those are a just a few of the traits that make him a great trainer.

I have struggled for years with my weight. In High School I was a power lifter and I was able to maintain a somewhat "normal" weight. After High School I didn't do anything to maintain, so my Freshman 15 was more like my Freshman 50... It was always a struggle, but I just rolled with it and steadily gained. After marriage and babies I was never able to get back down. I jazzercised, tried exercise videos at home, and tried all kinds of crash diet you could imagine. I eventually got to a weight where I was heavier than when I was 9 months pregnant! I saw a picture of myself and I was mortified. I couldn't believe that is what I really looked like. My husband and I both joined Orange Theory. Calvin was one of the first trainers we met. We immediately loved him. He is a motivator, a helper, and an all around great guy. He always met me with a smile and made me feel welcome even if I was 1 or 2 minutes late :) I'm proud to say that after altering my food intake and exercise, I am down almost 30 pounds. I am not where I want to be but I am definitely getting there. Calvin doesn't only help people to be active in the gym. He is encourages a healthy lifestyle. He motivates you to get out with your family to get everyone moving and to be a good role model. You have done more than you know...Thanks Calvin!

A few years back my doctor told me I overweight and was borderline "pre-diabetic". As soon as I heard the news I completely changed my diet and started eating better. However, at the time I didn't work out consistently. I tried to do at-home exercise videos, but I couldn't stay motivated to stick them. My wife convinced me to join Orange Theory and it was there that I met Calvin. Once I met him and started training with him, working out became fun and something to look forward to. There isn't a day that goes by that Calvin doesn't push me to become a better version of myself. He doesn't get in my face or yell at me, but he knows the right things to say to motivate me and make me push myself. His interaction with everyone in the class is always positive and he always makes time before or after class to answer any question we have about training or nutrition.
Since training with Calvin I've been able to get that extra 15 pounds off and I'm in better shape than I was in 10+ years ago. Calvin has been a great inspiration for me and I am glad to have him as a trainer.
