Annette Kiider

Being healthy and physically fit has always been a part of my life. From my early teenage years, I started going to the gym. I loved working out and how it made me look and feel. I came to the realization that ultimately what I truly wanted was to turn my fitness lifestyle from a hobby into a career. I could instill in others the rewards and benefits of a healthy lifestyle.

As a trainer I pride myself on a balanced regime of cardiovascular and weight training. I believe these two components are most significant since the cardiovascular system keeps your heart strong and weight training makes your muscles stronger. I incorporate circuit training methods by utilizing various techniques that are tailored to the individual client. Upon first meeting we discuss personal goals, be it losing weight, building mass, core, flexibility, endurance, etc. I also determine the client’s limitations as dictated by their fitness level. We discuss the benefits of a healthy diet and their nutritional intake is monitored throughout.

I would highly recommend training with Annette. I started training with Annette seven weeks ago in preparation for my fifth marathon, upon recommendation by one of Annette’s other clients. After reviewing my running training program and discussing goals with me, Annette created a personalized strength training program which perfectly complements my running program. In just this short period of time, I have lost body fat and inches (Annette keeps track of your measurements and progress!) and improved my running efficiency. Annette has a critical eye for form during strength training to ensure all movements are done properly, effectively, and safely. Annette is extremely knowledgeable and professional and strikes the perfect balance between friendly encouragement and drill sergeant during workouts to keep you motivated. She is the first trainer that I have worked with who is willing to accommodate both my work and running schedule to make sure I stay on track with regular strength workouts and to provide advice and encouragement for my running workouts. I would strongly encourage any prospective client to go through with their decision to train with Annette to safely and effectively improve their physical well being and personal fitness goals.

When my prior trainer informed me last spring that she could no longer see me for early morning sessions, she recommended this website for me to find a new trainer. I emailed many prospects and found Annette to be the most responsive, organized, and serious about her profession, and she has yet to prove me wrong. Aside from the fact that she has never canceled on me, or even been late, she has kept me on track for the first time in a loooonnnggg time by taking my body measurements every five weeks and consistently tweaking the program she has developed for me to be sure I continue to make progress. I have already referred her to a friend who has also been very pleased!

Annette trained me for the Boston Marathon in 2010, and continues to train me today. She combined strength training with cardio to give me a multi-layered approach to the race. I never felt stronger and more powerful running that race, and finished with a personal best by over 30 minutes.

Today, Annette and I train for general fitness and health. She has spent time getting to know my health aspirations and designed a program to accommodate my frequent travel schedule. Over the past year I have become more fit, tone and in the best shape of my life. I have more energy and importantly I am more knowledgeable about my body and my fitness regimen. I think that's what makes Annette unique among trainers. She gets to know her clients as people, understanding their goals and aspirations, and designs programs that not only take you to the next fitness level, but that teach and guide you along the way.

Annette is someone I would recommend highly and I would be more than happy to speak on her behalf with anyone who is interested.

I have been training with Annette for over 2.5 years. Since I began training with Annette, she encouraged me and helped me create a regimen of weight lifting and aerobic exercise that has resulted in losing 30 lbs and gaining pounds of muscle. I am in the best shape of my life at age 40 with a body fat percentage of 10%. I can attribute that statement to the work with Annette. Annette's strikes the perfect balance of empathetic friend and drill sergeant for the out-of-shape that keeps them coming back. Once I began to lose the weight and gain muscle, she varied the workouts to maximize muscle growth and help me keep moving to the next level. I have no reservations at all recommending Annette as a trainer for any level, from the out-of shape and obese to those seeking to take their fitness to the next level.
