Hi...I have always enjoyed health and fitness but did not decide to make a career of it until I was going back to school for a degree in teaching. While attending college, I began working at the YMCA, going to workshop/trainings, teaching classes, etc. I finished my degree in Elementary Education but decided to pursue a career in health and wellness. I received my Master's in Health and Wellness Coaching with an emphasis in Nutrition to help me better encourage and coach people to pursue healthy lifestyles. I now reside in California and work with clients to create healthy lifestyles and healthy mindsets

    Let me start here. I met Angela randomly a couple of years ago. I walked into a class Angela was teaching based on another trainer’s recommendation and that was my introduction to her.

    The best things about Angela:

    1) She is certified - personal trainer and in various classes/formats
    2) She is experienced, non-judgmental, & encouraging
    3) Her classes vary so you never get “bored” doing the same thing
    4) She offers modifications for every level – from beginner to advanced
    5) She has experience training those recovering from an injury and knows how to avoid re-injury
    6) She offers challenges outside of class offerings – i.e., run a mile a day, plank challenges, push-up challenges, etc.
    7) She encourages you to step outside of your comfort zone (i.e., zip lining, hiking, etc.) & will participate along-side you
    8) …and last but not least, Angela is the most positive & upbeat person I know…always

    Angela has been mentoring me for over a year now...and virtually I might add. We live in different states. She has been there to help me focus and learn how to take care of my body and make healthy choices. i've lost over 53 pounds so far and have gone from barely able to walk a mile to jogging a mile I did my first 5K and fixing to do my second! Love Angela's way of not only helping me achieve my goals, but making new habits!

    If there were more stars to give she would get those as well! I have been working out for several years with a few different trainers over that time. To me what makes the best trainer and the type of trainer I want to be in the future is a POSITVIE, ENCOURAGING attitude and that is what I love about Angela Prather. No matter what your fitness level she will lift you up and help you to realize that you can reach your goals one step at a time. She will push you to be your best and work hard for what you want to accomplish. I am thankful not only to have her as my trainer and fitness coach but as my mentor as I pursue my own career in the fitness field.

    I just recently started boot camp with Angela and it is the best workout I have ever done. I feel so energized (next day) and positive. She is so motivational to myself and the group. I have noticed results in my stamina and strength.

    I am a 50 year old grandmother of 6, who with my daughter, started doing Zumba in June 2012 with Angela as my instructor, and then it progressed into boot camp 3 times a week. My daughter and I ran in the Military Mud Run in September 2012; we would not have been able to do that without Angela; she is so inspirational and lets us know that we can do whatever we set our minds and body to do! Angela is a fireball full of energy, positive attitude and motivation. She is not only my instructor but a friend, it took me 2 Zumba instructors to find my 1; I was led to her for a reason! Love her!
