Former IT business owner, Ava has a Master’s degree in management from St. Petersburg State University of Culture and Art, Russia.
Having been drawn to fitness for personal reasons, in 2006, a few years after coming to the US, Ava took on the challenge of starting a new career as a fitness professional. She learned physiology and anatomy - a whole new language - in English - a whole new language!
Since moving to Naples in 2012 she has been self-employed training privately and teaching classes at different locations.
In 2013 Ava became NASM Corrective Exercise Specialist and then Senior Fitness Specialist in 2014, and mostly focuses on functional fitness and working with active independent adults, 55+ age group. She wants her clients to be healthy and vibrant at any age, enjoy physical activity and be functionally fit to live long high-quality lives. “Fitness with Care” has become her trademark.
In 2016 Ava’s interest in a holistic approach to health motivated her to take a Fascia Release mentorship program with Jacqueline Glasgow, E-RYT 500, Certified Yoga Therapist, at Naples Yoga Center. Additionally, she obtained a certificate with Trigger Point Therapy as a trainer for myofascial compression techniques.
Because of her long-standing interested in nutrition, food and healthy cooking, Ava has recently completed the Ayurvedic Yoga Specialist program with Himalayan Institute. The ancient "Science of Life", was an “a-ha moment” for her explaining simply why “one size does not fit all” as far as diet and exercise.
Becoming strong from the inside out, bringing all the resources of our bodies to the task, living a more vibrant life - that is what Ava offers to her clients.
