I am a mom, a wife, a quasi-attorney and a fitness instructor/coach. I have been teaching group fitness classes since 1999 and love sharing my passion for fitness and nutrition with others. I have taught all over San Francisco and began teaching in Marin in 2010. I teach pretty much every format with exception to dance and step and I don’t pretend that I can teach either…well, because I just lack the motivation needed to really learn these two formats well. Also, I just love that there are so many modalities out there that are so much fun to teach, so I focus on teaching what I love and enjoy. When you teach what you love, it completely comes through in your teaching and you are better at what you do because of that love.
My approach to fitness? Everyone should commit to move every day for at least 30 minutes. Do I think you can be in amazing shape by walking 30 minutes a day? No, but everyone starts some place and starting and committing to any type of exercise is better than not committing at all. I believe that everyone should include strength training, cardio and flexibility exercises into their workouts. I want everyone who comes to one of my classes to use that time to just focus on themselves and their workout. I ask folks to set their intentions and goals for each workout, no matter how small, I find that everyone works a little harder with a set goal in mind.
