Amber Kivett

Amber Kivett is a sports performance specialist, certified strength, speed, and agility coach, and a licensed, certified athletic trainer with over 17 years of professional experience. She is the founder and owner of Kivett Kinetic Solutions, which has been in business for over 11 years. As a licensed athletic trainer in Indiana, Amber is qualified and certified on several specialty levels to provide therapeutic massage and other manual therapy techniques for injury recovery and to facilitate an accelerated recovery. Amber has worked with individuals and athletes of ages 6-80 with multiple abilities and disabilities. She has experience with multiple levels of athletes including novice youth, club level, high school, collegiate, semi-pro, professional, and masters athletes in several sports and has experience in occupation medicine and ergonomics. Amber delivers a unique approach when working with clients, by offering a fusion of sports medicine, human performance, and bodywork principles to meet the needs of all clients on a personal level. Amber’s philosophy is to train the entire “kinetic chain” from “fingertips to toes” in a functional capacity. Her evaluations and assessments include evaluating all of the fascial kinetic chains and connective tissue, which ultimately expose the weakest parts of the body, and the source of what causes pain. Using the Functional Movement Screen (FMS), she thoroughly evaluates proper movement techniques for overuse patterns, which could potentially lead to an overuse injury. Once the weakest links are exposed, Amber pushes a step further and assesses for weak muscles, sloppy joints, or potential injuries, and starts troubleshooting the human kinetic chain as a whole. By using corrective exercise for prehabilitation purposes, injuries are prevented and performance excels. Amber doesn’t create workouts based on muscle groups; she uses functional movements that are transferable into the “real world”. Body builders can train muscle groups and many high school weight rooms still train using this regimen, but Amber likes to create the most feared athletes on the field or court because of their incredible athleticism and sharp mental training. For everyday individuals who might to play a sport, Amber improves their overall wellness and most importantly, their mental outlook and confidence moving forward. Not only does she work with athletes, but she has a strong reputation for working with the general population who are suffering from pain…acute and chronic. Amber uses a variety of modalities to minimize or eliminate pain, and ultimately restoring function in all of her clients. Amber graduated from Purdue University in 2002, with Bachelor degrees in athletic training concentration and kinesiology, after six years of study. While studying at Purdue University, Amber worked several years with intercollegiate athletics teams for Purdue University, including football, track/field, cheerleading, swimming/diving, women’s soccer, wrestling, and cross country. Amber has also worked with several other athletic organizations including women’s professional soccer (FC Indiana), semi-professional football (Indiana Firebirds), USA Track and Field, Special Olympics, USA Diving, USA Olympic swimming and diving trials, and USA Swimming. She has participated in many sports in her lifetime including softball, basketball, soccer, dance, gymnastics, distance running, cycling, swimming, tennis, surfing, boating, and has completed several mini-marathons, triathlons, a full marathon, and favors obstacle course racing over the past 9 years as her favorite sport.

Amber has a special niche for working with clients who suffer from pain. She loves training with the shoulders, hips, and spine, and stabilizing the “Core” as a whole, but has experience working with all musculoskeletal injuries and nerve pain. Amber also specializes in pain management and the “mind game” for clients suffering from injury and disease. Amber was involved in a traumatic car accident in 2005, suffering multiple spinal injuries, post-traumatic fibromyalgia, severe depression, a closed head brain injury, and multiple nerve injuries. She understands how it feels to be in severe pain and on the edge of death. After a year with lots of drugs with side effects, expensive physical therapy, and inactivity (per the doctors orders), she was told her state of disability was as good as it gets. She starting exploring oriental medicine with cupping, acupuncture, massage, chiropractic care, hormone rebalancing, and researched her body and FASCIA, and rehabilitated herself in just a few months to full recovery. She is now the strongest, healthiest woman she’s EVER been, and full of life, spirit, light, and ENERGY!
