This five-part program provides you with new ways to energize your fitness training techniques for your small-group and partner clients. Learn new circuits, partner drills, obstacle courses and varied equipment options that will help your groups feel strong, athletic and confident.

  • Execute critical teaching and coaching points necessary for safe participation in obstacle courses.
  • Design a multistation cardio-strength circuit training workout using a variety of small studio equipment.
  • Learn the physiological benefits of combining cardio training and strength training in the same workout session.
  • Create a variety of cardiovascular exercise activities that can be used in a multistation circuit training workout.
  • Choose appropriate instructional cuing that should be used while teaching a multistation cardio-strength circuit training workout.

Peter Twist, MSc, is the president and CEO of Twist Conditioning, Inc. He is an exercise physiologist with a specialization in coaching science. Having coached in the NHL for 11 years, Peter has worked with over 700 professional athletes. Peter received the National Strength and Conditioning Association's 1998 President's Award and the Can-Fit-Pro 2003 Specialty Presenter of the Year award. Certifications: NSCA

Yancy Culp is the owner and founder of YancyCamp.com, the online obstacle course race (OCR) training platform through which he coaches over 400 athletes from 18 different countries, including members of the Spartan Pro Team and World's Toughest Mudder athletes. He has competed at the elite level in OCR for 8 years. Yancy is a Power Systems® master coach, a certified Spartan SGX coach, an Alpha Warrior® Pro, and was voted one of the 50 Most Influential People in Obstacle Racing.

Fred Hoffman, MEd

Fred Hoffman, MEd IDEA Author/Presenter

Fred Hoffman, M.Ed., is the owner of Fitness Resources Consulting Services and the author of Going Global: An Expert’s Guide to Working Abroad in the International Fitness Industry. The recipient of the 2019 IDEA China Fitness Inspiration Award, and the 2007 IDEA Fitness Instructor of the Year Award, Fred holds a Master’s Degree in Health Education from Boston University and has over forty years of experience in the fitness and health industry. Fred is a member of the Board of Directors of the American Council on Exercise (ACE) and from 2013 to 2016 served as a member of the ACE Industry Advisory Panel. Fred’s expertise has taken him to nearly 50 countries on six continents to speak at more than 200 conferences and conventions. In 2001 he was elected to the International Who's Who of Professionals. Brett Klika

Brett Klika IDEA Author/Presenter

Brett Klika is the director of athletic performance at Fitness Quest 10 in San Diego, California. He specializes in youth fitness and athletic performance. Brett oversees a staff of eight strength coaches and develops program for over 300 youth athletes (and non-athletes) per week. He is a regular contributor for a variety of publications, produces DVDs on fitness and athletic performance and presents around the world.
