Learning Objectives

  • Describe how to assess grip strength and strategies to make it more functional.
  • Identify different types of grip and discuss how each is integrated into daily function and in a fitness setting.
  • Identify fascial lines of the hand and describe how they connect to the shoulder and core.
  • Discuss the hand as a neurosensory structure, including how these nerves can be activated to improve hand awareness and integrated strength.
  • Demonstrate simple strengthening techniques that integrate the body from plantar foot to palmar hand.
